Ben wrote and directed this short film. Check out the trailer here. He’s submitting it to the festival circuit, and has so far heard back from two places, both acceptances. 13th Night will be one of twelve films screening at the Final Frame Horror Short Film Competition (at Stoker Con) and it will play at the Chattanooga Film Festival (listed by Moviemaker Magazine as one of the top 25 genre fests in the world and by Dread Central as one of the top horror festivals).

Ben wrote this feature with director James Ponsoldt. It was produced by Sony’s Stage 6 and Bleeker Street, and launched at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. Wide release in summer 2022.
The Ninth Metal
Ben isn’t allowed to talk about where this is being developed, because of an NDA, but he’s written the pilot, the pitch is ready, and the team is waiting for Hollywood to grind into motion again so that they can shop it to streamers.
Black Gold
Ben sold a series to Starz called Black Gold, a crime drama about the North Dakota oil boom — with Fremantle producing and James Ponsoldt is attached to direct the pilot. But alas, it died in development hell. Read more about it here.
RED MOON
For FOX TV, Ben adapted Red Moon as a series with Oscar-winner Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind, I am Legend, Winter’s Tale) and producer Ilene Staple. But alas, it died in development hell.
THE WILDING
Ben adapted his novel The Wilding into a screenplay for director Tanya Wexler (Hysteria) and for director Guillermo Arriaga (21 Grams). But alas, on both occasions, the movie died in development hell.
